Go tenjo (Coffered ceiling)
A rectangularly assembled lattice ceiling. The large lattice materials are very elaborately worked to create an elegant finish.
100 tatami mat main room
The roof employs a truss structure, a roof structure brought in from the West after the Meiji Restoration. The main room is about 100 tatami mats in area.
Stage
The front of the stage is hinoki cypress, the back is cedar. The contrast of wood shows that the front of the stage is more formal than the back.
Window glass
The window frame design gives the interior a glamorous appearance. This design can be seen in other rooms as well.
Stairway handrail bottom
Even the bottom of the stairway handrails have modest ornamentation.

Lattice wall installed for structural reinformenet during the 2019 restoration and repair. The room has glass windows on all sides and no walls, so reinforcement was necessary to meet modern building standards.

Wall finishing
The theatre room (tatami portion) finish is yellow and the stage plaster wall finish is white. The finish was intended to create a contrast that makes the stage appear more gorgeous.
